\n
The DXT A1 is the best dual sport Jamis makes and we really like the drivetrain which is the Microshift Advent 1x single chainring drivetrain.
\nWe have been selling the Advent on Felt mountain bikes for a while now and it has been excellent. It is a better choice than the comparable Shimano Acera and Sram SX.
Double (2 chainring) cranksets and front derailleurs are an improvement over triple cranksets, which have always worked poorly. But they are still a cost saving compromise.
1x drivetrains save over a pound of weight and simplify shifting while still giving you a wide gear range for all kinds of terrain. Lighter, simpler and better shifting.
